Does it look like this device fits in a similar client/server model as the MediaMVP?

To be honest, probably not.

The next media extender client will most likely be for the Popcorn Hour A-100. It plays pretty much anything. A preliminary GB-PVR has already been made available for this device.

I would also be Very much interested in this technology. I love GBPVR and I have been using it for a while now. The DMA2100 is a very nice appliance with Media Center but my PVR of choice is GBPVR.
