Hi Sub, found tonight that the UiSimpleLists handle the Ctrl-Right, Ctrl-Left keystrokes.

Is there a reason that they do? or is in in the checking for OnkeyDown you're not checking the Key.Control flag??

If the latter, could you add a check for the control and not handle the control (or shift).

I pretty sure this is because the skip keys are used to page up/down through the list.

So how do you handle the situation in your music libraries where you could potentially want to skip pages and skip tracks?? Theoretically both using the same keypress?

I know, its an annoying problem. The reason it uses these keys for page up/down is because they're logically quite well suited to this functionality, and because the common 34 button Hauppauge remote which doesnt have any other keys that would make sense of the this task. Annoyingly, they're also well suited to skipping audio tracks.

On my screens I give page up/down preference, then audio. So if the user is presses Ctrl-RightArrow and nothing else handles the key, then it'll switch audio tracks. This means if they have the focus on a list box, then page up/down will happen instead of the audio skip.

Maybe I should add check box to say if the skip keys are used for page up/down? Lots of people now have remotes with dedicated CH+/- buttons, which also do page up/down. This would at least give them the option of making the skip keys control audio in more places if they have other buttons that can do page up/down. What do you think?

Yeah I'd like that. Sounds like a good idea. And for me I'll just call attention to that check box in my configuration screen saying you probably should have this set....

I ended up by making any lists that i use - not handle ctrl-right left for up and down. The disadvantage with that is that it would make me a bit inconsistent with you.

But I do have the disadvantage that my whole screen is made up of lists, so i can't really get away from them
