Is it possible to sort the list of items in the RSS feed as it comes from EWA?

I would like to use the RSS to provide updates to my LCD using LCD smartie, but with the way things are sorted now I can't find the next item to be recorded.

It would be nice to have an additional parameter:
?filter=pending&sort=date/title/channel
or
?filter=pending&sort=date/title/channel&dir=asc/desc

or something along those lines, so that the first item in the list is the next item to be recorded, the second would be the one after that etc.

This would save me from my current method of using post and para processing batch files to run GBPVRcli to write some information to a text file, read the text file in LCDSmartie, run a second batch file to see if the information has been updated, etc. It runs correctly 90% of the time but every once in a while it tells me I'm recording but doesn't actually show a show title. Overly complex when I could just pull the information from the existing RSS feed.

Thanks,
Joel

So after looking into this myself a bit. It turns out that all the information is there in the feed from EWA, and its the RSS reader in LCDSmartie that is lacking.

So I wrote my own RSS reader for LCDSmartie.

Basically it reads an RSS feed and sorts the items by PubDate. This way when selecting items, 1 is the next item to be recorded (for pending at least), 2 is the one after that etc.

As a side effect of this, I can now use LCDSmartie to monitor my recordings from just about anywhere. On the road I can keep LCDSmartie running in the tray and call it up to show what's recording/pending/conflicts etc. And since I have a spare LCD in my home office, I can use that to monitor whats being recording/pending/conflicts downstairs without having to really do anything.

Not sure if there is much need for this out there, its definitly not going to work great if you are watching live TV, since I only read the feed every 5 mintues. But it beats using GBPVRcli to create a bunch of files in various batch files and reading those in.

Anyway if anybody wants the LCDSmartie plug-in send me a PM and I'll send you the DLL. If there's enough interest I'll post it up in a seperate thread, with come instructions and my LCDSmartie configuration.
