I am trying to keep up with the development, testing and debugging of the NMT support via mvpcx2....and am finding it challenging.....

There is some info here....and there is some info in the MVPMC Dongle sub-forum.....which is intermixed with mvpmc and mvpcx2 posts.

Perhaps it is time for a focused MVPMCX2 sub-forum where everything can be in one spot? (hint, hint, wink, wink) Big Grin

It works for me. I wouldn't want to see the forums broken down too fine, MVP posts appear everywhere, and if we can separate the general comments for sub, and the NMT users from the technical configuration that make my "dumb" client work I think will help everyone. You too are just keen an probable trying to absorb everything.

I for one don't like the new layout, it's just more work for me.

Oh well.

lol. I cant win today Big Grin (rough day at the office)

Let me know what you'd prefer and I'll change it. Would you prefer it is just put back in the one sub-forum? Its easy enough to change it back.

Wait a couple of days, both the mvp and mvpmc forums can be inactive for days now, (I get sick of seeing that mvallevand guy's name) and mvpmc regularly comes up in in the mvp forum anyway so it might be time to merge all three into one. The first support reply is typically going to about firewall settings no matter what

Plus after you and I spend the time just before 1.2.x, I am pretty much saying emulation mode logic is complete in mvpmc so it is going to static, and I will just test it with your future releases.

At first.....I was reluctant to have a sub-forum setup for EWA....Prior to having a sub-forum I was using a single thread for EWA stuff.....it was really easy to maintain and I didn't want to have to monitor different things....I have since found it invaluable and in the long run it has made support much easier to provide as well as making it easier for end-users to find.

Having the distinct seperation of what questions are being asked about what makes it much easier to keep track of things....as well as for us end-users to find things.

I understand from a programming perspective the MVP, MVPMC and now the MVPMCX2 are similar....however....from an end-user perspective they are all seperate/different things (IMHO)......and having all the posts in one spot is a real bugger to sift through and figure out what goes with what.

I can say....that with just this one day of seperation I have a clearer understanding of things in regards to MVPMCX2.

I really appreciate your patience with us non-hardware geeks.....Big Grin

I also really appreciate all the efforts you have been putting into the MVP and not NMT extensions!

Thanks Martin.

As an end-user I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I get so frustrated trying to use those unbelievably long threads. It is so diffficult trying to read through them that it is simpler to just ask your question, even though the very same issue may have already been dealt with. This ends up being more difficult for the end-user and I'm sure it has to be a bit frustrating for the developer who maintains the thread.

Every other developer, sub included, seems to be able to support multiple apps and plugins, functions etc just fine from one sub-forum. I end up having to monitor three and in reality I probably have the fewest users to support, maybe 50 mvpmc users have posted questions with another new eager 10 "times two" users out there.

You aren't going to convince me it's necessary, but I'm glad to give it a go until there is more user-to-user support.
