I just tried SkipTool for the first time this weekend... very cool. I've had a few issues however.
First, it does bad things to the MVP when trying to exit it. It's nice to be able to use it from the MVP... I was able to edit my comskip commercials and what-not, but as soon as I exited - bang! MVP rebooted. It starts up again so it wasn't the end of the world, but I thought it strange that just entering and exiting the plugin would make the MVP restart.
Second, the VLC option in the TranscodeQ menu really threw me off. I thought it was an option to use VLC to do the transcoding. Of course when I chose it, it simply started VLC playing the movie... it didn't transcode at all. I guess it's in there only as an example of another executable, like on the wiki?
Third, whether it was firing up VLC or stattik's transcode script, both are launched in the foreground. Maybe this isn't avoidable, but it would nice to have the transcode fired off in the background instead. Thankfully I keep a remote button mapped to do task switching so it's not too tough to give pvrx2 the focus again, but I imagine some people sitting on the couch then have to get up and find the keyboard.
Anyway, thanks again for the nice plugin.
