Build 75 of EWA has been released. You can download it here or on the wiki.

Date: 2008-04-10 Build Number: 75 Changes:
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to change the quality on already scheduled shows.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to mass delete from Manage Recordings page.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to sort Search Results columns in Table View mode.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added support for new SchedulesDirect Credit types - Contestants and Guests.
    • Make sure to download the newest SchedulesDirect Utilities.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Added code to prevent an empty search string from being entered.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Updated free space determination code to handle UNC drives better. There are two ways to get drive space info from a netwok drive.
    • First try the statistics page and see if it works. If it does then you need not do anyting.
    • If you are not getting space results you can either change the gbpvrrecordingservice to run under a local account that has access to the network share or try the option below.
    • Map the network drive to the local machine as a physical drive. This was the original model.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Changes only in CSS based pages:
    • Add the channel and status to the sort options in CSS based search results.

  • UncleJohnsBand: CSS General Notes:
    • CSS Note: To access CSS based screens use guide2.aspx as your start page.
    • CSS Note: CSS screens are coded in strict standards mode. This will make future updates easier and provides the best cross-browser (Firefox / IE) compatibility. However, this also means that the CSS sceens will only be fully supported by IE 7 and FireFox. Some screens will not work correctly in IE6. Sorry.
    • CSS Note: CSS screens are optimized for screens with 1024x768 resolution or higher. Lower resolution will just cause more scrolling on some screens.
    • CSS Note: Please post feedback/bugs in the EWA CSS Guide sticky thread located in the EWA support forum.

HI UJB,

I loved the new look of the EWA, but I did not see where the mass delete button is. I also didn't see the version number in the usual spots.
I'm running IE7

THanks for the help,

Writebac

Have you tried re-installing EWA? Sounds like a bad install.

Installed EWA 75 and tried using non-CSS episode search. When I try to ask for a genre (Movies) and select a subset of channels, the search doesn't even seem to start (I get a repeat of the search screen... not the results screen). The only way that I can seem to get a valid search is by typing in some kind of "search words" in the box. I tried different kinds of searches and it seemed to not like the search criteria until I filled in something for the words to seach on... no way to just search for all movies for example.

EWA 74 works as expected - I get valid results. I tried to re-install EWA 75 again and I get the same results. Reverting back to EWA 74 gives me good behavior - so I don'g think the EPG data is messed up.

It's almost as if the episode search is failing immediately because it thinks the form is incomplete. I don't have IE7 so I did not try this on the CSS-compliant episode search screens.

Ahhhh....yep.....I know what the problem is.....I put a "fix" in to prevent empyt search strings from being passed in....what I didn't do was validate that nothing else was being set (i.e. channel or genre or something)....I'll have to create a patch.

I'll post it in this thread when I have it done.

Thanks for reporting it.

Hi UJB, is the patch available, I'm stuck on the same thing. Perhaps you could consider just using * as a wildcard so that folks have to put in something (it doesnt work atm btw) although I am happy with blank.

Yea...sorry about that guys....I got busy with my PCH and kinda forgot... :o

Patch is attached...should let you enter an empty search so long as something else is set on the search selection page.

Looks like a bug in the table based screens...try using the CSS based screens in the meantime.....search2.aspx. Table and Tree seem to both be working.

Thanks for reporting this.
