With the trouble that seems to keep popping its head with Yahoo's TV service, what would be the difficulty in making an EPG that grabbed the data from Comcast? They offer full listings for all of their packages. I know it would only cover their packages, but that would be better than Yahoo for Comcast users.

This idea was prompted by Yahoo no longer carrying the Comcast package that I have.

So it looks like Yahoo has the information available again. Man that service is flaky.

Anyway, I'd still be interested in how people read the information from the various services and process it to make it readable in GBPVR. Any help someone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

There is no way to read the data from comcast directly. You would need to write an HTML scraper that basically goes to their TV listings webpage, sets your zipcode and the times you want, and then parses the page to get the data needed. If they make changes to the website, it will impact the scraper negatively and you will have to modify your code to accomodate the changes.

The Yahoo feed was simpler/nicer in that it provided all the listings in one convienient text file, but as you have noticed, reliability is an issue.
