Is there a good winamp style plugin to use with gbpvr. I have loads of mp3s and they're very well orginized. mp3>genre>band>album. Sometimes I like to listen to single albums, sometimes I like to listen to a bands entire catalogue, sometimes I like to listen to all of my mp3s on random.

Is there a plugin out there for me that can do ALL of these things for me. I have looked at the built in music function in gbprv and it will only do single folders. I have aso lookd into musiclibrary and It seems like it would pull all of an artist name ut of the id3 tags, which would mess up albums.

Any suggestions?

I think with default music library you could go up to a higher level and listen from there??

And you are correct MusicLibrary2 is tag based, and ignores the directory structure underneath it.

But if you system is quite structured, you coul dtag off of your music from that structure....

The built in music library isnt intended to be a do-everything music player, but it can play more than a single directory. If you have a folder highlighted and press the 'play' button it'll queue all files contained below, and put them on random play. So with your directory structure you could do stuff like select a genre directory, and press play to have all songs in that genre queued. Likewise, you could select a band directory, and press play to have it queue all the songs from that band.
