HDXB101 Netgear 200Mb Powerline Adapters

Hi Folks - anyone attempted to use these in their GBPVR/MVP networks?

Yes, I've been using them for almost 2 years now.

They work exceptionally well.

There was an issue to begin with, where the MVP would crash out after about 10 minutes or so. This issue could be resolved by placing a network switch between the MVP and the HDX101 unit.

I believe that this issue is now resolved with new firmware but I have not personally tested it (it's quite handy leaving the switch in place for other equipment).

I can run several streams simultaneously with no glitching or issues (I have tested 3 MVPs, YMMV), and they all work throughout the house (new house/wiring) giving approximately 120MBps performance.

Outstanding - thanks Nathan. I have just bought a pair on TradeMe (the Kiwi version of eBay).

My house also has new wiring, and I think the power point for both units will be on the same circuit so I'm hoping this will solve a wiring conundrum for me.

Are you saying you are running 3 MVPs off these units? So having attached one to your switch you can add several at different power points to run multiple MVPs?
