From the info I have read the new freesat service in the uk will use dvb-s2.

Will gbpvr be able to record these hd broadcasts?

If its unencrypted, then yes it should be able to record it. GB-PVR only works with selected DVB-S2 devices though (Hauppauge and FireDTV). Admittedly, support for DVB-S2 is new to the current release, and not thoroughly tested yet, but will improve over coming releases.

Haven't heard anything about encryption so hope there isn't any.
Will the CI interface work with gbpvr?
