The remote that works with GBPVR just by selecting it in config is this remote:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vista-MCE-Remote-Con...dZViewItem

Not this remote:

http://cgi.ebay.com/PC-Remote-Control-4-...dZViewItem

I wanted the MCE remote so I could standby/startup the PC with the remote. I will be using it with XP Pro.

Yea, it looks like the second one depicted on the remotes seciton of the wiki.

Looks like a pretty good deal to me. Its 38.99 on newegg.com. But it says it doesn't work with XP only XP MCE but there were several reviews that said they were using it with XP and media portal. I might get one myself.

Going along with this, has anybody used this MCE remote with XP SP2 non media center edition?

I think the US model lacks these extra buttons, since they're really intended for Teletext, which isnt used in the US.

Yes, that's what I use...at least it sure looks the same. It's plug & play with XP Pro but for XP Home you need to get the drivers...search the forum or look in the wiki for more details...it's not a big deal.
