Hi,

I'm trying to find the BDA drivers for a USB DVD World 2101 device. I can find them for the 2102, and an expired link for the drivers for the 2101. Does anyone have them?

Fully model is DVBWorld DVB-S 2101 USB2.0

Thanks

OK, I found the BDA drivers (sub: want me to post them incase anyone else is having trouble?) and I can see channels through DVBDream. Now, I cannot get any channels in GBPVR

I attach the config files. Could someone take a quick look? I'm pointing at DN 119 (ES7)

I added this to the BDA.ini

[USB 2101 DVB-S Box]
SUPPORTS_BDA_DISEQC=3
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
FILTER_TUNER=USB 2101 DVB-S Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=USB 2101 DVB-S Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

and I'm scanning with these settings

LNB LOF1: 11250 MHZ
LNB Switch: 0
LNB LOF2: 14350 MHZ
Powered: Ticked
DiSEqC: NONE

This is the same as i'm using in DVBDream which seems to work.

GBPVR Config says "No Channels Found"

Is there anything obvious i'm missing?

Thanks

I also have the following Filters in GraphEdit; Generic BDA Tuner Filter and Generic BDA Capture Filter

So I added these to the BDA.ini too

[DVB-S2101 USB Device]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
FILTER_TUNER=Generic BDA Tuner Filter
FILTER_CAPTURE=Generic BDA Capture Filter
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

But GBPVR says its unable to open the device.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Logs attached.

I also posted logs in the second post for the problem when using the other set of drivers.

Thanks

Sorry, I'm not really sure. There isnt an obvious cause in the logs.

hmmm, I wonder if anyone else was able to get this working.

When using the first set of drivers it does seem to see a signal, which means it can obviously open the device ok. Somewhat strange. Unfortunately I cannot find any other USB DVB-S devices out there that are known to be compatible with GBPVR?

There is a Hauppauge Nova-S USB2.

I dont think the device itself is your problem here though. I think its something to do with not finding the system default DVB-S tuning space. This is normally present on a machine, but seems to missing on yours. I'm not sure what DVBDream does that means it does require it.

I'm not sure what you'd have to do add the tuning space.

Does the Nova-S USB2 work with GBPVR?

I have no idea what the TuningSpace is. If this means anything that machine is running Vista SP1. Should the Tuningspace be setup by the drivers?

Yes.

Quote:Its a pile of microsoft registry settings and COM object which is responsible for telling the BDA driver to tune a channel.

To be honest, I dont know what normally sets it up. I think its usually present on all windows installs.
