The channel name/number/logo behaviour detailed below is acting a little strange since updating to 1.2.13.

The type '0' (icon and name) is actually giving type '1' under the community skin 3.2 but does work under sub's blue. Prior to updating type '3' was giving me what I wanted (coincidently)

Type 1, and 2 do as stated - it just seems to be '0' playing up. Not sure what is going on?

[HTML]In order to control how PVRX2 displays the logos, you must change an entry in GBPVR’s config.xml file. The default option is for Logos and Channel Name on the TV Guide.
String in config.xml <TVGuideChannelHeaderType>
The available options are:
0 = icon + name 1 = number + name 2 = name 3 = app decides which to used based on the number of channels with icons available. [/HTML]
Core2-E2180, 1G RAM, 1Gb-5450 Silent, 2Tb +300g HDDs.
Three tuners: [SIZE=2][SIZE=1]Twinhan DVB-T x 1, Hauppauge Nova 500T (dual)
[/SIZE][/SIZE]
DTB Digital SD + HD content (PAL-MPEG2-AC3).
Custom case made very quiet. Zalman CPU cooler.
Sits in rack with other HiFi.

ParaLED to show tuner activity.

Odd, since I wouldn't expect anything to change that. What TV guide skin are you using so I can check out the same one. (It will say what it is in the skin.xml file at the top).

This is from the TV-guide skin.xml

PHP Code:

Thanks, that gets me something to start with. Although that indicates the TV Listings plugin instead of sub's built in TV Guide.

I have to look at this more. I don't use icons so I need to create some. At first glance I didn't see anything obvious.

fatman_do, is there anything that could be done in the skin plugin to be able to choose this style, ie how to display the channel names/numbers and change the skin file??

Have you tried any of the other TVGuide formatting options through the skin plugin? (just to narrow down the glitch)

As far as I know each state "0 = icon + name 1 = number + name 2 = name 3 = app decides" needs to be defined in the TVguide skin xml. I had a quick look and I think that the xml you're using is formatted for "number and icon". This might explain the quirkiness.

As far as I can see GB assigns the <TVGuideChannelHeaderType> (0-1-2-3) based on the order listed in the TVGuide skin xml. So by altering the formatting for the first entry, anyone with 0 or 3 selected in the config.xml will see the changes.

The plugin kind of does this already (with 7-channel TV Guide - Reflect and 7-channel TV Guide Alternate - Reflect). It should then be possible to format an xml for each <TVGuideChannelHeaderType> state and have them selectable through the skin plugin, but I think you would be reliant on the user setting their <TVGuideChannelHeaderType> to 0 or 3.

My apologies people, I really should read the thread properly before trying to answer questions not asked :o.

wannabepvr,

My theory is based on using the TVGuide skin.xml, not the TV Listings plugin skin.xml.

As Hairy stated, we can make sure all the availible tvguides are ordered correctly and we could add that functionality.

Thread related, I think I just need to check roy's provided TVListings vs. Blue's and that may clear things up.
