bugger: i deleted the 6 in the title, its suppose to read
"how many people have nero 6+"

im wondering how many people have nero 6 or above, or if you could get it.  nero has the advantage of having command line options for burning cds/dvds.  which is hard to find, trust me ive spent many hours trying to find an alternative.

im planning on adding "Burn playlist to Audio cd" option in "my music" and also perhaps burn recordings to dvd.  the burn to audio cd i might be able to get away with a free program, just have to hear back from the developer (hes on holiday).

nero is kind of the last resort, but its a strong program and most people seem to have it, im not sure if nero express has nerocmd.exe, can someone check this for me.  if enough people answer no to this, ill keep looking, also if anyone knows a burning app that can be integrated into vs.net programs or accept command line options and pops up no message boxs, and can take mp3 files directly without having to convert them, can you post links etc.
cheers

Have you seen CDRDAO? I think it covers what you need.

already saw that, it covers RAW or WAVE files, not mp3.

but thanks for the effort.

ok 15 people at 73% with nero, bugger it thats enough. if you dont have nero 6+ or nero express you should get it. im writing the "Burn to playlist" code now, it only works for mp3s at the moment (since those are the only ones i can get the duration for currently, so i can test if they fill the 74min limit). it will add files from the playlist to the burn queue until it is full then it will burn it. no converting is needed so it just burns like normal nero, nice and easy.

17 now.
Any chance of this type of functionality for DVD? It would be great to have an archive function built in to GB-PVR even if it does mean buying Nero, though it does seam to come free with just about every burner I have seen. I have multiple copies if anyone needs it.

I would opt for decoding the mp3 files to wav then use cdrdao or cdrecord (if its available for windows). These tools, in my opinion are a lot more stable than nero,

cheers,
Colin.
