I am very new to GB-PVR and trying to get things working the way I want!

I can get burndvdx2 to start if I am using the default blue skin but when I change to community 3 burndvdx2 will not start.

Any idea what I need to look at.

BTW - searchwiz2 will not start either - but I do not think that will start under blue.

Reproduce the error (ie not starting) and zip and attach your logs (from the ..\gbpvr\logs folder). Whenever you add a plugin, you need to run the config.exe utility to enable the plugins.

Welcome aboard.

Log files are attached.

FYI searchwiz2 just returns straight to the menu, whereas burndvdx2 sits there forever and in the end I have to taskmanager and kill pvrx2 - it is hogging one of the two cores.

What was going on in this log? Did you try to enter burndvdx2? The only error seems to be some issue with the BDA device causing a problem.

I did try and enter burndvdx2 - the BDA device error is 'cos I do not have the USB DVB-T device attached.

It is odd - as I say it is doing something but taking a very long time over doing it and using a huge amount of processor and never actually finishes and displays anything so I end up having to kill it.

Try the searchwiz one since at least that one doesn't lock up the system.

Uploaded a new log file (logs(2).zip- run logging at debug level and it does now report some errors when going in to burndvdx2.

logs(3).zip from after running just the searchwizx2

I don't run community 3 so it's hard for me to see what is missing. There were some late updates to the skins that probably aren't being reflected in the community 3 versions. If Fatman doesn't get a chance to look at this I'll try to load it up tonight and take a look.

If there are somewhat recent skin updates, I don't have them. I'll dig up the latest version for blue and compare them.

The wiki says that it supports the current version but I think there is a few things that appear to be not in the community skin version. That said, I loaded it up and it doesn't have any problems.
Soundman, do you have the latest version of burndvdx2 and the latest version of the community skin and skinplugin?
