After alot of help from 5l4k3r
and Pastro version 2.5.2 of GameZone has been released on the Wiki.

I suggest you take 10 minutes to read through the wiki as a lot of features that have come into existance since version 2 have finally been documented and some of them you may not have noticed!

Enjoy, provide feedback, criticism and and wishlists in the forum.

I think I found another bug...

This one is with Project64. I'm running version 1.7.0.49, and it has a problem when you send roms with a space in the path. Looking at my logs the path for Aidyn Chronicles is: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\N64\Roms\AidynChroniclesTheFirstMage.z64.
Notice the space between Program Files. (The space between the e and s in Chronicles isn't there, but for some reason when I paste the path the space shows up after I submit this post... Strage...) Is there a way that you could set it up so the path would be in quotes like:
"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\N64\Roms\AidynChroniclesTheFirstMage.z64" to see if that would help?

Thanks!

Hi there,

I have just tried to replicate the issue

filename: Aidyn Chronicles - The First Mage.z64
with and without snaps on
with snaps on and with and without an image file of the same name.

And all worked fine.

The only difference I can see is I have Project64 v1.4

Can you see if its a project64 issue as I am giving filenames enclosed in quotes to the application although the log doesnt show it that way.

Cheers

Ooops... I should have clarified... Project64 starts, but returns an error that "Attempt to open file failed.":o

I ran "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\N64\Project64 1.6\Project64.exe" "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\N64\Roms\AidynChroniclesTheFirstMage.z64" from a CMD window, and Project64 ran without a hitch.

So then I set up Nin64 through XtraEmulators with the same config as N64, but added "%FILE%" to the arguments, and I can run all my Nintendo 64 roms with that.

I will attach my log file from when I tried to run N64 and Project64 returned the error "Attempt to open file failed." Then I ran Nin64 and Project64 worked.

If you need any other config files, just holler.

I wrote aload of BS about what I was seeing and how it didnt look like it was the spaces etc... which I have since deleted after looking at the code :o

A quick look at the code suggests that you were right, I am not putting quotes around the filename for N64 launched games !! :o

That being said mine is working with spaces so I can only imagine there is a difference between version 1.4 and your 1.6 version. :p

But here is version 2.5.3 of gamezone for you to try to see if it corrects it on your version/system. Smile

Cheers

You may have noticed I have nopt added GameZone 2.5.3 why? I hear you cry.
It broke version project64 v1.4 so I am currently downloading project64 v1.6 to see it is indeed a version issue.

Ok,

I have upgraded to project64 v1.6 and still it works in gamezone 2.5.2!

Can you email me the rom file that is causing you the problem, as I am running out of things to test.

Cheers

Actualy I'm running Project64 v1.7.49. I'm having problems running ALL of my roms after I moved the roms from E:\Games\Emulators\N64\Roms\ to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Gamezone\N64\Roms\.

Truthfully I had the same problem with roms with spaces in them in E:\Games\Emulators\N64\Roms\,but I didn't say anything because It worked when I took the spaces out of the rom... (I renamed Aidyn Chronicles The First Mage.z64 to AidynChroniclesTheFirstMage.z64 to get it to work)...

I think I remember seeing a thread in another forum about quotes in Project64 being needed in some versions, and breaking things in other versions. If that were the case, could you put in a spot for arguments in the N64 config tab so that users of the affected versions could put in "%FILE%"?

[EDIT] Here is a link to the thread I mentioned before. http://www.push-a-button.com.au/communit...topic=87.0

Easist way to solve this is for you to send me the rom you have used. I will install the same version as you to eactly the same directory name and see what happens.

I can only see failures at the moment when I add a set of quotes, as I believe I am already adding quaotes earlier in the code and therefore two lots of quotes is not good Sad

Cheers
