I've just reinstalled GBPVR and Video Archive due to a hard drive crash. GBPVR seems to be working fine, however I can't launch Video Archive. On the MVP it just reboots, and on the PC it just seems to hang. I've noticed these errors in the logs, but can't tell what's causing the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Things were working flawlessly prior to the reinstall.

Thanks,
Kevin

I was originally on 1.2.9, but have since upgraded to 1.2.13.

I should have mentioned that because of the hard drive crash, everything is freshly installed: OS, service packs, patches, drivers, etc. All on a new hard drive (the old one isn't coming back!) Everything seems to work fine, except for Video Archive. I can record shows, play them back using Recordings, etc. It just crashes or hangs when I attempt to launch VA ether from the MVP or the PC.

Thanks,
Kevin

Darn. This is the same problem I appear to be having. I'm also on v1.2.13 and even after uninstalling and reinstalling the beta version of VA it's not working.

Then I may have to go back to 1.2.9, it was working perfectly with PVRX2 under that version. I wasn't loading GBPVR.exe at all. Not on the PC, nor on the MVP, so I can't see how could be playing a part.

I'm guessing that something else has changed, I just don't know what. I'll try 1.2.9 and let you know what happens.

Thanks,
Kevin

I don't know much about VA, but this patch from psycik has fixed problems with other plugins in 1.2.13. It might be worth trying...

OK, well I went back to 1.2.9 and all is well again. I haven't tried the above patch yet, but I did do a quick scan of the skin folder with what I had in 1.2.9 (from a backup that I had) to what I had under 1.2.13, and everything appeared to be the same. But admittedly I didn't perform a complete file compare to verify.

I'll do some more digging, but at this point it's clear that VA works fine under 1.2.9, but does not (at least out of the box) with 1.2.13.

was that the skin or skin2 folder? 1.2.13 removed some stuff from the legacy skin folder (because GBPVR.exe has gone) and this has caused problems for some older plugins.
