I downloaded latest MediaPortal and tried it out.....craches all the time, so then I downloaded previous MP v 0.2.3 and installed it. Same result, hangs an crashes all the time.
But the EPG scraper is good and cover many countries, so I stripped down files until only the needed files and directories was left.
The TVdatabase.db3 file is the only one needed in the database dir.
The complete WebEPG and XMLTV dirs are needed.
Configure channels lineup with WebEpg-conf.exe
Run WebEPG.exe to grab the XMLTV listings......that are saved into the XMLTV dir as Tvguide.xml
