Hi

I've just installed the .13 version and since I'm norwegian I'm currently trying to update the language file(s) and I just came across a very strange translation. It seems that gbpvr also tries to translate the text from xmltv guide information.

I was searching the guide for the american show "Medium" and found it strange that the guide woudn't find it since I could browse the guide and then I found it. Well after some searching i found this in the language.xml file:

<translate originalText="Medium" translatedText="Middels"/>

Then searching the guide again I found my show, but it was called "Middels" and not "Medium"!

Which is correct. Medium, as in small, medium, large, is called middels in norwegian. But this said, it doesn't say that the show called "Medium" in my xmltv listing also should be translated by the same file....

Also
I've changed a lot of the translations, updated missing ones in the language.xml file, but even when restarting the pvrx2 program the changes doesn't appear. Is there a new complete english template file out there somewhere that can be used to create an update translation?

lol - I've not heard of that happening, but I can certainly see why. Big Grin

Sorry, there is probably nothing you can do about this at this stage, but I'll try to fix this in a future release.

The master files are in the "languages" subdirectory, and the file is copied over the language.xml each time config app's 'ok' button is clicked.

I had a similar thing happening in MusicLibrary2 a while ago, when it translated a song title.

Ah yes, I remember. A skin option was added at the time to allow auto translations to be disabled on a certain fields. The fix in this case is going to be to update more skin file to use that option on some of the fields they display.

I think I figure it out...as sub said it just copies it over the language.xml file...the only thing is that it's not there in the gbpvr directory. I just copied the language I wanted over and changed it to language.xml.
