Sub.

I'm looking at fixes with Vista and my channel Logo Tool to grant admin rights to update the media directory within GBPVR. However this prompts a question. mightyou move these folders to another directory ? outside of Program files ?

your thoughts / Advise please

Thanks
Regards Systemshark

I have thought about moving quite a few of the files outside of program files, and with a couple of registry changes you can already do it for a lot of files (database, logs, plugins etc) but.... its a huge hassle for the upgrade procedure, so realistically I dont think I'm going make these registry changes as part of a normal install. Sorry. (Things become a major logistical nightmare when you have thousands of people running the existing file layout...)

You'll most likely need to find some other way to work around this, rather than hoping I'll move these files in the next release.

Thank Sub,

I'm planning changes to enable the files can be written into program files correctly but just wanted the check... I wasn't expecting you to move them as mostly you use them in readonly mode.... Thank for the feedback
