Ok, not that I'm advocating pirating or anything, but if you *MISTAKENLY* download some stuff you're not supposed to it could be bad legally. Therefore, a nice program to cover yourself while in this rare situation would be peerguardian 2 (or PG2). It has blacklists of IP addresses that are known to monitor or mess with people. Make sure you put IP addresses on the whitelist in PG2 that your GBPVR might be accessing so it doesn't get blocked and misidentified.

Good luck.Wink

edit. sorry I get it now - didn't notice the post was in the torrent thread! It all makes sense now.
I know azureaus used to check the PG list anyway, but I can't see anything similar in the utorrent preferences.

Sorry for reviving this old thread but any chance you can add an option where when you start Torrent it loads peerguardian automatically and terminates once the download is done?

I run PeerGuardian at home on my machine, the install of PeerGuaridan allows you to start PG whenever the machine starts. isn't that good enough ?

I'm running a different config to most people as I have a virutalised Windows Server running PeerGuardian and uTorrent.

My HDPC runs the Torrents Plugin and connected to my torrent server / machine.

Ya you're right. I just don't like running it if I don't need to. I guess i'm so used to disabling services, startup programs etc.etc..
