Since I use GB-PVR for purely PVR purposes and I never turn the server off since it also acts as file and printer server, set-up was fairly easy. However, with the whole building a new PC and installing XP with latest updates and .NET slipstreamed, thing, the GB-PVR server took a whole day to finish. Actual GB-PVR set-up took me about 2 hours tops. All plug-ins not related to recording have also been removed from the main menu.
1. install Gabest MPV decoder
2. install HDHomeRun drivers
3. set-up and QAM remapping
4. install VC8 runtime
5. install GB-PVR and initial set-up
6. add tuners and map channels to EPG
I subscribe to Schedules Direct so I didn't have to jump through hoops to get the EPG working. :p
