Enhancement Idea

Hi JavaWiz,

I have been using MovieWiz for a long while now and really enjoy this plug-in.

I currently close to 1000 entries in my db. I have been able to categorize my movies and series quite successfully,

I have however found myself creating more and more categories to manage my tv series. For example “Series – Friends”, “Series – CSI”.


I was wondering if you might consider creating a special series category in the future that functions almost like the Recordings plug-in in the main app.

For example:

First select Category: Series

This will then produce a list of all the Series for example Friends, CSI, Greek…..

When select one of these series a list of all the episodes will appear.

I think that this “sub category” structure might require some big changes to your underlining framework and db design.

Several folks have asked for a feature similar to this. I have been contemplating on how to incorporate that into the schema. I do have a few ideas, but you're right, it would be a bit of work to implement.

I expect at some point, a feature like this will be incorporated, but it will probably have to wait til my 9-5 job and home life settle down a bit.
