I used the XMM for a while half a year ago or so, but wasn't extremely satisfied, instead I developed my own light weighted movie database. However, XMM has a few features that's not simple for me to implement so I decided to give it a new shot tonight.

My concern is how this Movie Management tool can work together with any of the Vide plugins that's around for GB-PVR. I know that there's plugins for meedio, but I have now decided to stick with GB-PVR.

So, Sub, would it be possible to add features on your application so it updates the XMM database instead of GBPVR's own?

So, "MyVideos" and XRecordings for example, will you consider to interact with the XMM database or as a complimentary instead of upcoming I'm not talking imports/exports here but real interaction software-2-software.

Are there any other users who use othe Movie Managers except from the ones bunled in GBPVR and plugins?

If you want to use the XMM for storing and retrieving program information, and have it update automaticly from GBPVr, you might consider writing an external program. The program could be put into the PostProcessing.bat file which GBPVR runs after it finishes a recording. This program would query the GBPVR database for the program information, and then interface to XMM and update it's database.

From there, it would be a matter of the Plugin developers to come up with an interface to get the information. Hopefully, a common one that all video plugins could use, if one doesn't already exist.

Yes, that was a good idea and will solve the TV issue. My opinion is that TV recordings are the only situation where information must go in the direction FROM GBPVR to a database. All other medias, such as music, films, photos etc should not be handled in an internal database at the GBPVR (and plugin) levels.

It would be soo nice if there was a good video library plugin that added more features like searches, ratings, view counters etc and less into information gathering from the internet etc.
