EPG for Sky UK

Some very clever people have figured out how to get the EPG data for UK Satellite tv from the data stream.

All talk is of using external plugins for dvbviewer, or mediaportal... but what if this scanning could be built natively into gbpvr to retrieve the EPG information automatically?

Aah - the dream...

Any thoughts/ideas on if this would be possible?

Ah, it's not Sky though is it - just Freesat. I'm currently playing with mc2xml that seems more comprehensive than the RadioTimes xml source.

I am pretty sure that they have it working for sky and freesat now though...

the link that ears posted is for freesat, but djblu was working on one for all of sky and has a plugin for mediaportal that pulls in the data... looks like they have the huffman tables sorted so can extract the data from the stream.
