Hi Sub,

Great release. I can't find your new tool to designate the epg transponder. I am sure it is under my nose, but I can't find it. When I finish the channel scan, it asks if I want to update the EPG and when I do, it almost immediatly goes back to the "edit recording source page" It does not even try to update the EPG. And I do have the source set to DVB-EPG broadcast.:confused:

Its just an ini file that can be used to override the list of transponders it'll scan for EPG entries. See "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\DVB-S\epg-override.ini"

The defaulty settings are the ones Observer_11 used when testing it for me. I think he used BEV, and guessed at the Dish ones though, so you may need to tweak them.

Quote:[2410.ini]
0=1
1=12472,V,20000,56

[2500.ini]
0=1
1=12516,V,20000,56

[2691.ini]
0=1
1=12224,V,20000,56

[2780.ini]
0=1
1=12224,V,20000,56
To demonstrate what this does. The first entry effectively says, for capture sources setup to use "2410.ini" (aka "Echostar 7, DirecTV 7S & Anik F3"), only scan this one transponder.

Hmmm
The transponders look correct, but it does not seem to try to scan them. I just says updating epg for about one half second, then says saving data and the data is empty.

Do I have to turn anything on in config? What log should show the scan call or update?

Check your <DvbEpgHarvestDuration>600</DvbEpgHarvestDuration> setting in the config.xml and make sure the number of seconds is at least 300 or more.

Hit 'update epg' in the config app, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Here are the logs. I did increase the EPG time per observer's comments from 30 to 600 and it did not change anything. [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Which satellite .ini file are you using? Does the transponder specified in epg-override.ini exactly match a transponder in your satellite .ini file?

OK, made some progress and found some things. First, I am using 2410 and 2500. The epg-overide was incorrect for both.

For 2410 it should be 12472,H,20000,56
For 2500 it should be 12516,V,20000,34

I changed that and it still did not scan, but I did not have any channels on that transponder checked to be on, so I added a channel on the correct transponder on 2410 and it started to scan. It scanned for 599 seconds, then stopped and got stuck on 1 second. I finally canceled out. My logs are attached.

If you change it from 600, back to 60, or even 20, does it complete?
