Slick (screen size)

I upgraded to 1.3.7 yesterday (thanks sub) and have been experimenting with the slick skin. My resolution is set to 1024x768 and i have a number of images in the default folder that match that size. It seems whatever image i use is too large for the screen (ie - i only see 60% of the image in the gbpvr menu), is there a place i should set my screen size or should it adjust it dynamically? I hope this is a decent explanation...

The background images are always showing the full width of the picture, anchored at the top of the picture since this is usually the most important part of movie posters or album covers. How much you see of the picture vertically depends on your tv shape setting.
