Bought a Platinum HD and trying to get it integrated in GBPVR. I am looking at modifying the direct.ini file to get it to work but I thought I would post for help also. Included is my FilterCheck.log

I dont know if this device will work with GB-PVR.

Try using the device, then zip and attach the logs and I'll see what its complaining about.

try the 'remote' versions of the filters as well..one set is for local hookup,[possibly usb] the other is for network accessed i believe..
Hava Remote Video Encoder etc.etc....

i'm curious about these devices as well, easy to come by here and i noticed component inputs, tho i think it's not full hd record..[480p?]
kinda like 1/2 of a hdhomerun, plus local..

Hmm this looks like and interesting box maybe an alternative to Haupage HD-PVR - from what I can tell on their forums you can stream locally in mpeg2 and remotely in mpeg 4. Looks like locally can be in 720P from their forums.

Here are my logs. It doesn't seem to complain about anything. I just get a blank screen when I try to go to live TV. I am hooked to the composite and RCA to see if I get anything. I made to configs like I found in the filter check.

One

[Hava Video Device] and [Hava Remote Video Device]

Lines are the same after that.

I think it is just SD or 480i. I believe it has a lot of promise as people have got it to change channels with Orb. Reports of it working under MediaPortal and SageTV so I think it should work under GB-PVR. It takes the channel commands as MCE does and will translate them to the STB you have. I have mine changing the channels of my Uverse box.

ahh, then probably 'remote' versions for mpeg4 so use the regular ones...my bad..
logs should show something useful tho...i think you're pretty close..Smile
load up the saved graph files w/graphedit and see if you can get them going as that will tell us all that's needed...

I hope. I bet I just have something wrong in the direct.ini file, I am just not smart enough to find it or even know what I am looking at. LOL I would be surprised that it works in so many other programs and not GB-PVR. They seemed to design it to work specifically with MCE and now reports of it working in MP, Sage and Orb.

It does have an rtsp://ipaddress stream that I can get via VLC but doesn't seem to be the quality that native software is.

Anyone willing to try to help me to get this working. It has been a while since I tried and I never had any luck before.
