Wiki Look

Hi all,

am currently looking into possibilities to alter the look of the Wiki. Now that GBPVR Main page is down for a while it seems a good time to attempt this, in collaboration. Does anyone know (or are you they) who is currently coming up with the look and feel of the new GBPVR front page, as in http://www.gbpvr.com?

I know that Sub's away for a bit but know I've read some threads about this BUT so much easier to ask than trawl the Forums

Just to me maybe but would be nice to have the look of the Wiki similar scheme to the main page.....

If you go to the wiki that I set up ...a long time ago. I installed some skins.
You can change the look of the wiki by clicking on skin config in the lower left corner.

There is no password to change the grapical styles.

No one is at this stage. I literally have done nothing about the front page (including thinking about it) since creating the page that is currently there.

There is a good chance it'll stay the way it currently is for the next six months

Sub only changes the WebPage every 2 or 3 years, so the current minimalistic one might stay for a while :o)

I'm slowly working on a screenshot/feature list that could be a part of something new.

i'm not sub, but as far as i got it, he's not interested in expanding the GBPVR users base, so there's no need for additional promo

what's wrong with the front page? it points to the wiki & the forums, aint that enough?

I would like a nice front web page, but I dont really have the skills, tools or time to do it.

This is a one man project, and I'm stretched pretty thin with not much time spare. I also know from past experience I suck at developing web pages, and find it very time consuming, so its not great way for me to use my very limited time.

There is an element of truth to K.S's comment above. I'm happy with the number of GB-PVR users we have, so I'm not too concerned these days about making a good first impression to pull in more users. Adding more users will probably cause me more time management problems. Those that are here already probably dont care about the front page.

At this stage I'm hoping the web page pixies will magically do it for me when I'm sleeping
