MVP config.xml settings / incremental updates

I tried setting a config.xml entry for one of my MVPs so that it does not transcode ts but while that seems to work it has caused other problems. It appears to be sending incremental updates even though I have this set to FALSE:

<MVPOffsetY>40</MVPOffsetY>

<MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>false</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
<MVPTranscodeAVI>true</MVPTranscodeAVI>
<MVPTranscodeWMV>true</MVPTranscodeWMV>
<MVPTranscodeMKV>true</MVPTranscodeMKV>
</MAC-000DFE00724D>
I've also tried adding a <MVPClientType>MVP</MVPClientType> line but still no joy.
I'm assuming that is what the problem is, I'm getting black screens with just selected text or buttons when I navigate.
What do I need to set to make it work?

There is a global setting just above the override which does only seem to work as true.

<MVPUseIncrementalUpdates>false</MVPUseIncrementalUpdates>
