Is there a way to get ML2 to work with the new Slick skin? I tried putting background.jpg in the skins folder but got an unhandled exception error. If I don't put the background in there, GBPVR goes into never-neverland and I have to re-boot.

I can have a look, ML3 works with slick, but maybe legacy products don't.

Did you try the 8.0 version I posted in the other thread the other day?? That had some better error handling about bad skins.

Frankly, I was afraid to try ML3 Smile I'll try installing that... What clean-up steps do I need to do to completely get rid of ML2 before installing ML3? Maybe we could have a sticky for that, since there's a lot of info about installing spread amongst a lot of threads from what I can see. Thanks

Yes be afraid.

In http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...ostcount=4 I posted a newer ML2. The advantage with this is the ML3 uses a lot of the same components. And this is just the ML2 front end using it.

ML3 is not yet complete, there's still big sections I haven't yet written.

Yes I think your install sticky is a good idea. If you want to get some of the basics done as part of your install in the newer ML2 then that'll help me a lot. You'll see the full structure of ML2 in that .zip posted in that thread. Just post anything in here, Pm or email me, and I can add to it etc and post it as a sticky. I'll probably also release that beta properly as ML2 version 8. I just said I wasn't going to release a new ML2 again, but ML3 is taking me a long time.

Sorry I had a play here with the slick skin, and it doesn't seem to like it I'm sorry.

I'd love to be able to help out, but I'm actually asking you what steps to take to have a nice clean install. Smile That wouldbe nice to have in a sticky so we don't have to keep asking. Maybe have one section of the post for a "fresh" (first-time) install, then another for replacing an existing version.

Does copying \Skin\Blue\MusicLibrary to \Skin\Slick\MusicLibrary not work?

I cannot test until probably tomorrow.
