Actually the 'pending proof' and 'being edited' pages' text is auto generated and I'm unable to change the short blurb before the list...

Fair do and didn'ts on the main page Big Grin

Trust me to ask you to edit something you can't.

So I'll start on the others then....

Cheers Zehd.

Oooops I tossed a coin and got:

The quick start guide.

Quote:This guide is an executive summary; a basic overview of the steps needed to use GB-PVR. It summarize these steps and also provide links to further information.
Executive, good use of word but why? Are you management?
GB-PVR (Could be wrong here but don't most of us just list as GBPVR?)
It summarize, well it doesn't, it summarizes*

and finally just my excuse for being a tosser.......

Quote:provide links

It doesn't, it provides them :p

Told you I was anal!

No doubt I'll be foiled again by Blader's Wiki Big Grin

Steeb

It's all good.

GB-PVR is the more offical, proper title. I suspect sub doesn't care what we call it so long as he's called for dinner... (or donations)

It's a standard that I have started, and following through.

Executive summaries are for people who think they're so important that they don't have enough time to read the whole manual. "Just give it to me in the nutshell"...

Actually it all comes down to Marshal McClune :'Make it easy, or you lose your audience...quick...'

Like the man said. Both are common. The hyphen is official.

From Fatman do

So officially then we all call it GB-PVR?

This has IMHO been a whole problem without and within. No consolidation at all. It may be anarchy but it can be an organised one Big Grin

My main humph with the Wiki is a lack of agreed terminology but it starts at the beginning.

So Sub GB-PVR, or GBPVR?

Bearing in mind that officialness potentially invokes the hand of the Devil's child Wink

Cheers

Every time I type it, I type GB-PVR. Links, forum names etc are all "GB-PVR".

Oooops,

so now I go into the 'being edited' and it has jumped from 2 pages to 11!

And all I just wanted to talk about was .NET!

A beast has arisen?

I got the hyphenated thing from looking at sub's posts. Then I decided to write 2000 pages for the wiki, so that I BECOME THE TEMPLATE>>>> huwaaaaahaaaa!
