Does anyone know if this setting still works in 1.3.7? I don't see any difference at all.

There was a big difference for me when I toggle this setting in 1.2.13.

I appears to be always enabled, irrespective of this setting. At least that is the way is was for me. I had to roll back to previous version, since internal TS reader never worked for me.

No it doesnt. The app ignores the setting. Sorry, but its also unlikely to return in future. As GB-PVR adds more dependence on .ts files, I need features from the ts reader that are not provided by external transport stream source filters.

Why do you want to use the PowerDVD ts reader? With the latest patch the internal reader is pretty damn good.

I'm just about to upgrade to 1.3.7, but the performance/behaviour of the internal TS reader was a showstopper for me on 1.2.13, and why I've been stuck on 1.2.9. Fingers crossed for the latest internal version if that is not overrideable.

Using 1.3.7, the latest improved version of the TS reader can be found here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=35

Keeping my fingers crossed, install will have to wait for the New Year celebrations to wear off.

Happy New Year to you, and thx for all the help.

Not altogether good news, I'm afraid. My main test file, a 1080p h264 Dolby Digital 5.1 TS file, didn't play. It just gives a black screen and no sound. See attached logs. It doesn't look right at all, in comparison to the graph that I get in GraphEdt which is using Haali for the splitter (the other zip file contains an xgr graph). Video Resolution = 320x240...umm, I don't think so.

2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - Default WaveOut Device 0005
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - Default WaveOut Device
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - CoreAVC Video Decoder
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - AC3Filter 0003
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - AC3Filter
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - CyberLink Audio Decoder
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE - SOURCE
2009-01-01 11:28:25.953 VERBOSE getSetting(SaveGraphFiles)
2009-01-01 11:28:26.093 VERBOSE setSourceAspectRatio() using autoAspectRatio
2009-01-01 11:28:26.093 VERBOSE video resolution is 320 x 240

I also tried an MPEG2 TS file. Video is fine, but no audio. Looking at the log file shows AC3Filter as expected. Though I've never noticed the "AC3Filter 0003" line before.

2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - Default WaveOut Device 0005
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - Default WaveOut Device
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD7)
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - AC3Filter 0003
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - AC3Filter
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - CyberLink Audio Decoder
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
2009-01-01 11:35:50.578 VERBOSE - SOURCE

Any ideas? As I can't hear any audio on any TS file I can't determine if the old problem of audio sync is fixed with the new version.

Please let me know if you need any more information. I'm going to have to stick to MKV playback for the time being.

Quick upate. I managed to get another h264 1080p file to playback (video only, no audio) but its very stuttery. Logs attached. Plays back fine with graphedt where it is using Haali. TS splitting is a real problemm so it isn't a case of my PC not being capable of playing these files.

I may have to revert back to 1.2.13, but I'll miss out on all the fine new features Sad

A couple of questions:

1) what do you have your audio renderer set to on the playback tab? If its not 'system default' try setting it back to system default.
2) what do you have your H.264 decoder set to? If its set to 'system default', try setting it to the H.264 video decoder you want to use.

If these suggestions dont work, could you do a couple of minute long recording and put the .ts file somewhere I can download it from?
