Hello,
I was able to modify pvruser's Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950 analog settings to get analog working for the 950Q.

Make sure you have the Hauppauge MCE soft encoder installed and add the following to the direct.ini file in the GBPVR folder.

Code:
[Hauppuage HVR-950q (Analog)]
ARCHITECTURE=88X
INIT_MODE=ECP
INIT_MSP=0
SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=0
BLACKBIRD=1
CONEXANT=0
ENCODER_DISCONNECT_BUG=1
FILTER_CROSSBAR=WinTV HVR-950 Xbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=WinTV HVR-950 Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=WinTV HVR-950 Tuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=WinTV HVR-950 TV Audio
FILTER_CAPTURE_AUDIO=
FILTER_ENCODER=MainConcept (MCE) MPEG Encoder
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Video Virtual Out
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Capture
PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=Audio
PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=Capture
PIN_ENCODER_I2S_IN=Input Audio
PIN_ENCODER_656_IN=Input Video
PIN_ENCODER_OUT=Output
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

I'm struggling with this beast.
Have you been able to get both analogue and digital channels workin?
Thanks

Thank you so much fyatwyrio!!

I have struggled to get my Hauppauge hvr-950q to work with gbpvr for quite some time. I found your post today in a "google" search. My gppvr & hvr-950Q are working happily together now!

FYI... for other searchers/users... I am using gbpvr v 1.4.7 with Win XP Pro on my Toshiba Satellite laptop (single-core Centrino 1.73, ATI X700 dedicated video card, 2gb RAM). Smooth video, good audio sync. Picture "stutters" a little when trying to do several things at once eg. surf the web or opening Word documents while watching TV - but always re-syncs and is perfectly acceptable (only does this when the cpu hits 100% as I try to do several things at the same time - the laptop is more than 5 years old, after all). Not a problem for normal TV viewing/channel surfing/recording/etc.

I haven't tried the QAM digital channels, and my TV guide isn't working yet, but those are issues for another day and will be solved.

Just thought you'd like to know that I appreciate your efforts.

Thank you again!
