How Do I configure MLPanel

Is there any simple instructions for configuring the mlpanel

I can see lots of playing now screen savers in groups normal, small and big
in the mlpanel.xml file

but nothing in the wiki or the forums seem to explain how you invoke say the big ones for example, or how you can find out which screensaver is currently being displayed

any help gratefully received

If I use the version of musiclibrary2 referenced in this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ht=mlpanel

then using the cursor keys seems to cycle through more of the screensavers

as an aside is there a definitive version of musiclibrary2 there seems to be the one on the wiki and then various other later versions scattered around the forums

The main one on the wiki is the definitive one...but some people can't get it to work, and so there is a partial 8 version. The main trouble is I never intended to put out a version 8 of ML2 - I was supposed to cut over to ML3 completely. But there are a lot of features to cut over..

There is no configuration for this (apart from writing your own skin file), just using the left/right cursor keys should cycle you through all the views, if that is not working post your logs so ACTCMS can have a look.

You beat me to it, I am currently (very slowly as I don't have much spare time at the moment) working on an updated skin for MLP & one of the things I have done is added a display at the top of each of the remote/keyboard views (something like < Small.........Std >) so you know which group of views you are about to enter, hopefully this will make it a bit less confusing for all of us me included :p

There's not much to configure apart from what is documented in the wiki.

There are four runnng modes in MLPanel - notplaying, notplaying with slideshow, playing and playing with slideshow. In each mode, you can scroll through the relevant views using the left and right arrow keys till you find the one you want - between sessions MLP remembers the last view you watched for each mode.

If you want to know what views MLP will start up with, see <playingIndex>, <playingIndexSS>,<notPlayingIndex>,<notPayingIndexSS> in Plugins\MLPanel\MLPanelConfig.xml

The layouts of the views in the small and normal groups are basically the same as those in the large group, just different sizes to allow for different TV sizes, how good your glasses are, etc

The one I referred to above seems to work on the mvp until the second screen of a playlist at which point it stops playing the music presumably at the end of the first song of the second screen. the time display continues to increment but the next track is never played

I'll go back to the version on the wiki
