My PCH suddenly died. I went to watch something and it would not come one...no panel lights. It worked fine last night. If I unplug power and plug it back in, the panel light (and the yellow light on the network jack) flashes for about a half second and then goes off. It appears to be completely dead. It's about six months old. I hope I can return it for repair...I assume it's still under warranty.

Mine did the same after a few months.
The return process works well (register on the http://www.popcornhour.com support page and enter details). My only problem was that I am in Europe, so returns take so much longer.

They do point to how to post just the board back to reduce postage if you want. I think the warranty runs for a year.

Thanks for the info. I've submitted a case so we'll see what happens next. It has a one year warranty and I received mine in May 08 so it should still be covered.

In the meantime I gotta see if I can get my client box to work a little better. I've been spoiled by the play-almost-anything PCH.

Sorry to hear about the problem, and it might be worth keeping this up-to-date

I've seen a lot of new comers recently, and they haven't been entering info so the ratio is probably still acceptable, but it is still worth monitoring. I've now got three machines that have not had a problem.
