Will not play...

With your recent help I had ML2 (and ML3) up and running working a treat. No for some reason it will not play anything.
I have been looking at this for a few days now but cannot for the life of me see what has changed and caused the problem. Posting on here is a last resort as I don't really have anything for you to go on! There are no errors in any log files, it just doesn't work.
The symptoms are that both plugins are installed OK, appear on the menu in GBPVR and display all the track information. If you select a track and try and play nothing happens - you can continue to navigate around the tracks. If you use the red button to generate a playlist the total time (top right) changes to reflect the generated playlist length but again no music. If you press the green key it crashes and reboots to the PCH menu, again no errrors in any log files. This may be the key to the problem?
I'm sorry that this is such a vague description but I am stumped. Something has obviously changed but I cannot spot it, or recall making any changes. I have tried it on an MVP and same thing - no music, no error.
Do you have any idea whay it might be?
I'm happy to post full logs if you think that may help but as I say, there are no errors listed - I even tunred on stupid logging - still nothing.

Anyway - any help would be much appreciated. It's got to be something incredibly simple - I've nuked and rebuilt the ML database so what else can I try?

Have you tried playing something with the regular default music library?

It should do the same thing hopefully - nothing.

Its doesn't actually look like its faulting as you point out.

If you find that the default music library also does not play, post the pvrx2-native.log - There will hopefully be a decoder problem.

OK, tried enabling and using standard ML. It works.
Something else strange has happened over night. With all my fiddling last night including clearing the database I obviously had to rescan, which worked fine. Now the overnight mlupdater has run it has cleared the db again. The music is on a separate server but that is on all the time and this problem has never happened before.
I'm going to copy some music locally to rule out any network/server issues and will report back.

Copied AC/DC Let There be Rock to C drive, nuked library and rescanned. One album shows, but there was no rock. This is so frustrating, I know it's something very simple....
I guess removing and reinstalling ML2 is my next move?

Include the ML2 logs (if there) and pvrx2 logs.

You shouldn't need to reinstall. I'll have a look at your logs in the morning (10 pm here).

That actually looks liike your MusicLibrary2 dll is a lower version that your MusicLibraryCommon.dll.

Can you check your versions, they should all be pretty similar. Either 7.2 or 8.0.x

Remember to check the Plugins\MusicLibrary2 and Plugin\Common directory. You should only have one copy of the MusicLibraryCommon.dll but it can live in either location.

Hmm, I'd remove the ML3. I don't think the public version has got a check to see if the event has already fired. I found in my testing with ML2 and ML3 both installed, that one would say "play some tracks" and they'd both respond independently.

Just move the ML3 to a lower level subdirectory to move it out of check range,. ie from plugins\ML3 to plugins\ML3\bkp

Then try again.
