I'm starting to tear my hair out with the EWA...

I've running GBPVR 1.2.9 and have installed v79 of the EWA (the latest release) and I have my router configured to forward ports 7647 and 7648. When I browse to: http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/guide.aspx on my GBPVR machine I get rejected immediately to a "Internet Explorer can't find this page" error.

I've tried installing v78 and that actually worked for about a day then it too just magically stopped working with the same error as above. So then I tried installing v79 again and still the same problem.

I've also messed around with my router A LOT and talked to my ISP as well as the router manufacturer, and I'm now 99% sure I have it setup correctly. When I had v78 installed and working (briefly) via the localhost, I could also get to the EWA via another computer on my home network by going to http://local-ip:7647/gbpvr/guide.aspx

I don't even really need external access as I use Logmein to access the GBPVR machine and then all I need is the localhost access to schedule recordings etc. If my video card was able to render the guide via Logmein then I wouldn't even need EWA either, but alas it won't.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I'm 95% sure I have Windows Firewall turned off cos I've been messing around with that as well, but I'll check again tonight.

Any other suggestions?

I will assume you actually have it turned on in the gbpvr config....sometimes that gets forgotten.

What is showing up in your EWA logs?

Look in the following directory.....in one of the sub directories you should find the gbpvrpbluic.dll and a folder called logs. The EWA logs will be there.

Code:
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\gbpvr\66372bc5\b1db62aa\assembly\dl3\

There is no firewall turned on.

Yes I have EWA enabled in the GBPVR config.

Attached are the logs. Any ideas?

From what I am seeing in the logs you are now able to log into ewa and are able to get to either the video library or manage recordings and then request to stream a recorded programme/video.....is that correct?

No. That record must indicate the last successful time I was able to log in. I've tried many times since and got the same "Internet Explorer can't find this page" error.

???

This is very strange indeed. Try changing the ewa port in the gbpvr config to something else...perhaps 8080 and see what happens.

I see your running XP SP3.....don't think that should be a problem.

Also....try totally disabling the windows firewall and see if that does anything.
