smiler Wrote:From the logs It looks like you have not got the common gbpvr utililities installed or in the correct location, the DLL (CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll) needs to go in the plugins/common directory or the GBPVR root dir. If it is still an issue, try dropping a copy in to the iplayerplugin plugin dir and see if the issue goes away.

I have updated the title post with the file versions that I am using.
I did have CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll installed in the GBPVR root dir, but it was a way old version (1.?.?.?) - I installed the latest version (as per your original post) 'LatestCommonGBPVRUtilities.zip' from here. now doing a test download.

I also copied the iplayerPlugin dir from skin2\blue into skin2\Community-SD and so far it's working fine under the new Community-SD skin.

ACTCMS did you use the easy install or the latest version from the Wiki?

The latest version is the one you want.

It is possible that the easy install is using a much older version of the DLL and this does not support the required method that is failing. Looking at the logs in a bit more detail, I think the order of object construction means that in fact the CommonGBPVRUtils.dll is actually present and being used until a later method is called that does not exist in the dll.

So hopefully swapping the version you are using for the latest version should fix it for you. Wink

Was making progress...

I saw the .mov file being created in my c:\temp dir during the download. I now have a .jpg snapshot file in the correct dir in my Recordings dir, but no MPEG, so I guess the transcode didn't work...

I have never used transcode before so the config settings are just as they came out of the box. In the iPlayer Plugin Config, I changed Transcode quality to high and I pointed ffMpeg Transcode Settings at the GBPVR supplied version of ffMpeg. I suspect I've missed something.

OK, I got the new dlls and it downloaded fine, but then crashed on the conversion step. Do I need a special version of ffmpeg (i.e. not the one in the Third Party directory)?

If so, where is best to download form?

Many thanks

Did it actually crash - mine seemed to run but didn't create anything...

Could you post your pvrx2.exe.log and I'll compare it to mine....

Is there any configuration required for ffMpeg arguments, or does iPlayer plugin specify them itself?
