Okay, so I have done searches in the general search area to see if I could find this answer, and so far I have not seen it.

I am a Vista MCE user, looking to change to something more flexible and frankly, I am tired of MS and the lack of EPG updating for digital sub-channels.

I have installed the latest GBPVR. I am using two Hauppaugue WinTV 1600 cards, so I changed the dop per the instructions in the config.

For my EPG setup, I am using schedule direct. The config shows the correct channels in the capture sources, and I changed the skin to the other default (forget the name).

When I open up PVRX2, it has the other default blue skin. I can see every option in the menu, but the guide and live TV are not working. My best guess is that my tuner cards are not receiving a signal or are not setup properly.

Any advice would be greatly appreciative. Thanks for all you do!

sounds like the devices aren't setup correctly
did you go through the setup process? here...
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/CaptureSource

It is pretty easy to setup the analog
once you have your epg and grabber setup
you add an analog capture source and edit to your settings
then select your epg.xml file
then click update epg

if all is well the channels will show up on your tv guide and you can watch

Okay, I know I am somehow mucking this up. I started from scratch and made sure all the necessary bits were installed.

Last night at one point I was finally able to access the guide, but when I tried it again later on that night, it was still not loading the guide or Live TV. The strange thing is that when I open up the config/capture device page, all the boxes for the channels are unchecked as if they are disabled. I check all the necessary ones, close it, and it seems to save the settings, but again, when I open it all up, no boxes are checked. I do notice that the little box in the left that pops up when I close the config tool shows a "not responding" message before it closes. So, I wonder if something in my Vista setup is creating a glitch where it is not saving my preferences. Any help or clarifying questions for me would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, I think I solved this issue. I remapped the digital channels with with the EPG I had in place, and that game me the tv guide and Live TV. I will tweak that a little bit and finalize that this weekend.

Then I will move on to trying to get my Harmony remote to work.
