The SBS channels, including SBS 1 HD are being broadcast on Optus D1 and viewable in NZ. Although set top boxes are getting EPG fine from the satellite feed, GBPVR isn't.

SBS channels are on OPTUS D1 Freq 12646Mhz SR 12600 Vertical. Why would GBPVR fail to get the EPG. I'm told it is standard EIT EPG data.

Cheers,
Bill.

With the message this morning about Prime being available on satellite now & having to do a scan to get it I thought I would add "4=12646,V,12600," to the 1602.ini bda data for the scan & see what happened & blow me down I now have SBS channels Smile

From my quick reading it looks like they have been around since late July & carry a full 7 days epg so it would be really nice to be able to get it in GB-PVR as well

sub any idea what we would need to do to achieve this?

Hi There,
What ive done is create a new capture source (as the other D1 sources i have use xmltv epg files). Set the new source to use DVB as the EPG source (sorry i not near the media pc so cant remember proper name).

I get the EPG data fine when i do it in this manner.

It had failed to load the EPG data first time i loaded the channels - but i just removed them -and did rescan - and set the source to use the DVB EPG - and bingo i now have the SBS channels with full EPG ... marvellous Smile

If your main D1 source is already DVB EPG - then you shouldnt have to create a new source for the SBS channels.

Interesting, that is exactly what I did, after I did the rescan on my main D1 source to get Prime & saw the SBS were channels available but didn't get any EPG data.

No I didn't try this so don't know if it would have worked for me. What I did was install xmltvguide & grab the Sydney data then in the GB config set a 2 hour offset, seems to be working fine at the moment Smile

I'm trying to work out why SBS isnt showing up for me when I do a scan.

Once I get the channel, I'll take a look at the EPG. If its broadcasting the standard EIT, then it should already be working.

What are the last couple of numbers to add?
The previous entries I have have one or two numbers afterwards.. Might as well get some more channels!!

I just added 4=12646,V,12600, with no numbers afterwords, I have attached my ini file that worked for me.

@sub I will check if they are working for me as soon as I finish a few things I have to do & let you know.

I can confirm they are broadcasting at the moment. From this thread http://www.freeviewshop.co.nz/forum/inde...11.75.html they seem to always say it is the skew not being set quite right.

It could be the skew, but I'm using a multi-LNB holder, so not really something I can tweak.

My other dish was able to pull in SBS-HD and other channels.

Sorry - but I get a weeks worth of listings with DVB EPG option.
