HELP!!

I cant get my hauppage tv remote to work with gbpvr

i have Pentium 4 2.66
768 MB ram
Hauppage pvr250 with remote
Geforce MX 440

Are you running IR.exe?
Check your startup folder to see if it's set to load on boot up. Also, do a ctrl-alt-del to check if 'ir.exe' is running. If it is, you do not want 'Use direct access to Hauppauge remote' under Misc in config.exe to be checked. If it isn't running, you do want it checked. I found up until the latest release of GB-PVR that it worked best not running ir.exe and checking the direct access box. On the other hand, after installing the latest (908) release, I found it works best with ir.exe running and direct access unchecked. Have a play with these settings.
You haven't given much info for us to work on, i.e.

What operating system
What version of GB-PVR
Whether the remote works ok in the WinTV software
What you have tried already
What your remote settings are in GB-PVR
Whether it has worked before
and so on!

For all we know, the remote could be not working simply because you haven't installed the Hauppauge remote software, or because you haven't configured the remote in GB-PVR under Misc, or perhaps that you haven't plugged the IR receiver in to the Hauppauge card!
