Now that they're out of stock maybe they'll ship the batch? I can't wait for this thing to get here.

While I'm waiting for the A-100 where is a good place for an MVP user to start preparing for the switch over to the A-100?
I have no experience with any other client than the MVP. Thanks.

You can read the wiki http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardware/NMT and if you are not already running any share read the links on setting one up. If you aren't running 1.4.7 be prepared to run it too.
This might all seem insanely complicated like the "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" but I think the term "DON'T PANIC" applies too. Martin

I've been reading the wiki, the dummy's guide, back to the wiki, to the forum so many times I think I can quote passages word for word.. I just can't wait to get the thing (well things, I ordered 2) so I can start DO-ing instead of reading about it.
Also found a Ethernet LCD that will work with LCDSmartie so I when I move my HTPC to the depths of the basement I can still have the same (or 99% the same) experience at the TV just by having 2 network connections availiable there. Of course I'm still waiting for that to arrive too.

Here's one of my PCH's with a USB connected LCD display that is running LCDProc. In this example I am feeding the Shoutcast data from the Web Radio plugin. No extra ethernet required.

That was a "must have" feature of the MVP/MVPMC dongle combination. |
