Hi everyone,

I just upgraded my HVR-1600 to WinTv7 and the digital OTA looks good, for the exception of when there is a fast motion on the screen. Fast motion areas look like “horizontal lines distortions”. Is their a fix for this or setting changes.

Thank you in advance,

-Jay

Are you getting this in GB-PVR, or are you using WinTV7? This is a GB-PVR forum, and not a support forum for the Hauppauge software.

Hi sub,

I was merely trying to ascertain if it was common for the card to behave like this. Perhaps I should paraphrase my question.

Has anyone experience the horizontal lines issue with GB-PVR applications. I have tried GB-PVR before and I was very impressed by its scalability and flexibility. If that’s the rout I have to take I am more then happy to do it again.

I am also not sure if the issue is caused by the card or application. I have read on several forums that people prefer the HVR-2250 over HVR-1600 due to sensitivity issues of the HVR-1600. Perhaps that is the cause of the horizontal line issue.

Thank you in advance for your comments and answers,

-Jay

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but sounds like "combing artifacts" which would indicate that the image is not being deinterlaced. Try using a different decoder.

I experience the same and I am blaming it on my video card. I am planning an upgrade to a nvidia GT 220 or 240.
