Can I play the raw .mts files from my Canon HF10 camcorder (AVCHD) using a PH A-100 with the GBPVR interface? Thanks.

Your best bet is to search the NMT forums, http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...Canon+HF10 there is often a lot of information. AVCHD and other photo movie standards like M-JPEG format in general can be a problem on the NMT, so I am not sure what the distinction is that makes this camera acceptable. You might want to confirm your question there.
m2ts files are played with the NMT native player but the interface that launches it is GBPVR assuming sub supports it. I don't think he allows .mts via the web server. Martin

Thank for the reply. From the link it appears I can play my HF10 AVCHD files on the stock PH interface, but maybe not using GBPVR. Ideally I would for the most part use GBPVR interface for movies/TV and then occasionally "toggle" back to the original PH interface to watch AVCHD files. Is this possible to use both interfaces? How user friendly would it be (WAF factor)?

Jumping back & forward between the NMT's native applications & GB-PVR is fairly straight forward & simple depending on the method you use to load GB. I guess the WAF would depend on your wife as there are a few buttons to press each way.
With my wife who is computer literate I got the "I don't want one of those" (referring to the NMT over an MVP) when I showed her the loading procedure & now using the index.htm method it's "this is so much better than the MVP" so as I said I guess it depends on the wife. |
