When I'm playing music I set the volume with the remote as I don't like to alter the volume on the TV which is set for playing back recordings, but when using my NMT it doesn't seem to stay at the level I set it at between tracks & jumps back to bloody loud after the first track, this didn't seem to happen when I was using the MVP's, is this just one of those things or something wrong with my setup or.......??

That is the expected behaviour as I indicated here. http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=27 If GBPVR implements an OSD for volume I could do something but my preference is to go back to 0db between songs.

Note even if I was to control it with mpeg files, I would have no way way of balancing the volume when mono is playing.

Thinking about this a bit I could probably tie the volume reset into the stop key so that playing a queue of music or surfing live tv wouldn't change the volume.

I thought I had seen something about it somewhere, but the old memory isn't what it used to be :o

That would be fantastic if you could.

To be honest I have stopped listening to individual tracks queued because of this & either not listening to music or listening to NetRadio instead, but it would be nice to be able to listen to my music again Smile

I'm not talking the old Hauppauge volume on their dongle, I want to see a real volume level.

Excellent, I just installed the new mvpmcx2 Update 2009-11-13, I have now listened to 10 songs in my queue & the volume has stayed nice & low (no blown ear drums today Big Grin ), brilliant thanks Smile

Is there a way to make volume stick as the loudest level? My PCH volume is at max with other media, when I start mvpmx2 the volume goes to nothing. I have to raise it, but then it changes even as I am watching live tv (after one show ends and another start) very annoying especially when the kids are watching PBS kids.

If it set to maximum, then I can just use TV to control volume and not have to worry about PCH, this is not currently possible with mvpmcx2 as I have to use both remotes to control volume.

Thanks for all the great work.
