I know there aren't many (any?) WebRadio users out there if there are, do any of you listen to Live365? Even better do any of you have a paid account (mine is the freebie)? I have a few favourites but I needed a bit of work to scrape the web site for text for now playing information.

The reason I am asking is a lot of information comes back (Artist, Album, and Track Name) and I was curious how others would like to see it. Long names will get truncated especially in the screen saver. The second example shows an extreme, imports can even show the native language.

Hopefully I can get ACTCMS (MLPanel) and MixMan (for the skins) involved too since the album art is available.

I'm curious on how you decided on what you are displaying now? Right at the moment for me it is displaying "Oldies - The 50s 60s & 70s - SKY.FM - three decades of great oldies on http://www.sky.fm -" & I know this is followed by the artist & song but even with my default B-R-HV screensaver skin that displays three lines of text it is cut off, I am about to modify my skin to display more text but that doesn't help others?

I thought you and ACTCMS were in contact about displaying data in MLPanel already? Or at least that was the impression I was under.......I would really like to have MLP displaying something other than the default "I can't find any data to display" message when I'm using Web Radio2.

Because GBPVR doesn't have any inter-plugin message passing right now it's simple,

- with vlc on the PC or to the MVP/NMT it is the Shoutcast data (if available) with the station name from the plugin appended.

- with Winamp it is what what Winamp would show scrolling in it's little window extracted to GBPVR

- with MixMan's player it is the Station Name.

- with Live365 right now I don't show the station name.

We are. Right now I think MLPanel triggers off the Notify event and doesn't display the Now Playing data which I know is available because GBPVR is able to display this outside the WebRadio plugin's window. I want to pass album art too (both name and selected from the web) but I don't know how to deal with dynamic jpg names.

MLPanel uses several Notify events to get info from Net Radio and any of the music library plugins - Web Radio doesn't trigger all the events I need but I can also pick up anything you put in lastplayed.csv

I'm not sure what you mean by 'dynamic jpg names'?

Lastplayed.csv will only have the station name and information needed to reload the stream not now playing data, sub can extract it maybe you can too?

The dynamic jpeg needs to be defined. It is album art for the current song, as opposed to the station png file in field 8 of the csv.

I'll use stuff like station name and the locally stored station logo from lastplayed.csv, but I don't want to go looking for now playing info which sub might be able to pass via Notify events.

I'd be happy if you could download the AA and save it as nowplaying.jpg in c:\temp - MLPanel doesn't need a library of AA.

Hmmm related question I think before I go looking at Live365 if I may? I went to modify my screensaver skin file & discovered playing MP3's on my development PC using sub's Music Library no longer displays any song/artist information at all, not in Music Library or on in the playingnow panel on the main menu or in the screen saver, these MP3's are the ones I always use when I am modifying skins, I also reverted back to sub's blue skin with the same result??

Martin: I can verify that behaviour - but if I move the plugins\WebRadio dir out to the desktop the song/artist information displays again.

I verified this too, and have fixed it in 2.0.3, it's not a problem in the Music plugin so I overlooked it.
