Lost the '4' channels today amongst others.
New scan.cache attached with most of the Astra 2a/b/d and Eurobird listings.
BBC kids channels missing - not broadcasting at the time.
The new CBC channels - Action, Drama etc are not on the radio times XMLTV listings - hope they get added!

Pob,

feel a bit guilty about this, think it happened a few days ago but didn't post as was busy doing something else on Wiki. No RT haven't moved old Reality/New CBS progs over but still find DigiGuide best way to fill the gaps!

Cheers

Steeb

Cheers for letting us know.

I'd noticed Film4+1 was gone last night (I have Film4 tuned in via Freeview) and couldn't be bothered investigating what was up with it. Now I know...

Likewise Steeb, I did a rescan a couple of days ago and meant to post my results but did it far to late so at night so just went to bed once I got them working... As far as I can tell it's just the one C4 TP that was changed? I put the figures from kingofsat.net in manually to my scan.cache file and rather strangely they didn't work. Manual updates normally do. So I did a rescan of just that TP (cancelled it after, luckily it's the first one anyway) and all was well. Mind you, I added some of the other channels I've not got round to including (like France 24) and it's a nightmare to find anything in the scan results when mapping digital channels as you've now got radio stations in addition to the useless encrypted stuff. Is there no way to search the dropdown list for the one you're looking for??

I think if you have the list focused, then you can start typing on the keyboard and it'll jump to any matching entries.

Oh - I only noticed it yesterday! And I must admit I cheat when doing a full scan, as I don't use GBPVR I use DVBDream, and the GBPVR PID grabber to record only the non-encrypted channels I click on. So once I have put the resulting scan.cache file in GBPVR/BDA folder, I know that all the channels in config are the correct ones, with no duplications, encrypted versions, or radio channels....

Can you remind me of how/where to get hold of the pid grabber?
I've been meaning ot try it with dvbdream but never got round to it and now lost the damn thing.

Maybe we could add to the GBPVR wish list similar behaviour;
  • All channels found listed in order of channel name and
  • Channels grouped by type -unencrypted, encrypted, radio, data
As it is this grouping in DVBDream which makes it faster to find what you want.
BTW there was something like 70 lost channels, 127 changes, and new channels found (DVDDream gives a full summary after a scan) - so a lot more changed than just one transponder, since my last scan anyway!
