Hi,

I've been using Slimm GB-PVR and GBPVRcli for a while and i've noticed that lately SOME recordings are missing from the tray menu and they don't show up even after restarting the PC or the tray util. the auto-purge for missing recordings is disabled in the config xml.
The PVRX2 is showing and playing all recordings without issues. is this a known issue for which there's a quick fix? i'm using the latest 1.8 version.

Thanks!

Please post logs.

It is likely that the recordings contain letters that are in the Tools->Options->File Ext. Filter. The help file installed has more directions on this.

Sorry about the no reply, i kinda ignored the issue for a long time. The extension fixed it i think. Another issue is the order that the recordings are displayed in, which is very confusing. Not sure if it's because i have recordings older than 1 year. I'm attaching a screenshot to clarify. Version: 1.8.3447.20527.

Thanks!

I can see what it's doing. It's sorting the recordings by their title (GBPVRcli formatting string "{Title}"). But I can't understand why. The sort option should only apply to the Reoccurring menu and I've confirmed this by looking at the code.

Would you mind going into Options->Tray Configuration->Reoccurring Menu->Order by and changing it to "{Title} DESC" (without the quotes) and see if it reverses the order in your Recordings menu, please? If it does, I shall be most intrigued.

Is the order of the Pending and Reoccurring menus as expected? The pending should be in date / time order and the Reoccurring should be in alphabetical order by show title ("{Title}").

the DESC only changes the Reoccurring Menu. the pending is correct with or without DESC. the recording archive is completely messed up either way. the pics are taken after DESC was added.

i remember i had a similar issue with gbpvrcli trying to get the next pending recording when i last upgraded and i had to add a parameter to order it by time. maybe this is a similar issue...

thanks for taking the time!

Upgraded?

The recording menu should be sorted according to the Last Write Time of each file listed. If you copied all the files into this folder recently, they would have been written in alphabetical order and the Last Write Time would be from that copy operation.

Is this the answer?

i did move to a new drive last year around turkey day... but when i sort the folders by date (which is my default sort anyway) i see the files in the correct order (as they aired).

i upgraded Slimm some time ago and i am using GBPVRcli to decide if i need to put the PC into standby. after that upgrade i had set the option /orderby "{StartTime}" on the command line because it would return pending recordings out of order. it's not the same issue as now, but maybe you have a similar option that i can apply to the existing menu?

As I am not using GBPVR at this time, I would greatly appreciate it if you could test this for me. If you cannot, please say.

Attached is a replacement for SlimmGBPVR.exe. Stop Slimm GBPVR running by exiting the tray application, then copy the exe in the zip over the one in the GBPVR folder. You can always use the Slimm GBPVR installer to restore the original version or make a copy of it before you overwrite it.
