Does anyone know of an app/plig-in etc. that can display digital tuner signal strength/quality, etc in real-time? Sub records it in the log for a recording, so the info seems to be available. A real-time display would be useful for antenna turning, splitter arranging, etc. Any coding geniuses want to jump in?

DvbDream http://www.dvbdream.org/ has a module (installed as standard I think) that will display and/or speak the quality or strength.

I used it to align my aerial by using a couple of dect phones (wireless home walkabouts) - one near the PC speaker and the other clipped near my ear.

There is a signal monitor in WinTV6 but it may only work with Hauppauge devices.

A slightly newer version of that same signal monitor is installed with WinTV7. Its run as a separate process, but will only give signal info while the device is in use for live or recording. It works for most Hauppauge DVB-T/ATSC devices. Not DVB-S/DVB-C.

Big GrinBig Grin

I had meant to delete it completely - it is only of use for DVB-T and the chances of that in the USA are slim
